Party like it's 2020!
December 1, 2019
So here it is! We soon reach the end of the ‘Tens’ and look ahead to a new decade of the ‘Twenties’. Even the name sounds magical; with thoughts of classic cinema, new modes of transport, jazz music, and the distinctive 20’s fashion all coming to mind.
People back in the 1920’s: “I bet they’ll have air taxis, talking dogs and robot butlers in 100 years.”
People in 2020:
Needless to say, the ‘Twenty-Twenties’ are bound to bring in a whole new world, maybe flapper dresses will replace bodycon dresses and suits will come back to erase ripped jeans? … Probably not, but who knows! One thing we do know for certain is that the upcoming New Year’s Eve is bound to be a big one… Just don’t let it creep up on you! There’s always so much pressure to get it right and have a big blow out, even more so with the return to the 20’s, the OG decade of partying!
Worry not! Between all of us party animals here at Be At One, we’ve experienced just about every New Year’s Eve activity under the sun – or, at the very least, under Big Ben. We’ve found that the formula for the perfect ‘NYE’ comes down to three things: you need a great venue, some awesome friends, and plenty of delicious cocktails. How about you provide the friends, and we’ll take care of the rest?
The golden rule: don’t try your luck, stop and book (you know it’s true because it rhymes)!
New Year’s Eve is arguably the busiest party night of the year, whilst this promises an amazing atmosphere, you’re almost guaranteed to miss out if you don’t get all your ducks in a row. If you can’t book for your event, make sure to check the details before you turn up, and get there early to avoid queues. You know how much us Brits love to queue!
But just in case you need any further convincing on why you should book instead of trying your luck, here are 5 reasons why:
Beat the crowds!
Okay, I know we said that us Brits love a good queue, but really, where did that stereotype come from? EVERYONE hates queueing…
Save yourself a task on those awkward days after Christmas…
The 26th to 31st December are always weird – nobody knows what day it is, what they’re doing and you’re only surviving due to a delicate cuisine of left-over turkey and celebrations (when do the supermarkets open again?)
You could end up at a tacky nightclub…
Do you want to bring in the ‘20’s’ with Paul Chuckle or Chico? (Sorry Paul and Chico, we love you really.)
Get yourself organised…
We have a very appropriate New Year’s Resolution for you, one you could be starting right now…
Don’t miss out!
Probably the most important one on our list! Our NYE bookings fill up incredibly fast (yes, people are booking even before you’ve packed away your Halloween costume). We would hate for you to miss out on the best party in town!
